I am increasingly becoming interested in methods for incorporating animal movement into models of habitat selection.
- I have been working with Johannes Signer and Tal Avgar on an R package called amt (animal movement tools) for modeling animal movement using step selection functions (Johannes is the mastermind behind this work!). You can download a pre-print describing this work here.
- I put together a web site describing data from David Wolfson's masters thesis, where he studied movements of sandhill cranes that breen in Minnesota.
- You can view slides, lectures, and presentations from a recent workshop covering Movebank, data annotation, resource selection functions, and step-selection functions here: https://movebankworkshopraleighnc.netlify.com/
